Supporting Women Through Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth and Early Motherhood, Together

The transition to motherhood is one of the most profound psychological, emotional and physical journeys a woman can experience.

No single professional can support every aspect of that journey.

At Motherhood in Mind, we believe that the best outcomes for women, babies and families arise when professionals work collaboratively, bringing together expertise from across disciplines to provide compassionate, joined-up care.

The Motherhood in Mind Professional Network is a growing community of professionals who support women through fertility, pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.

Together, we aim to strengthen connections, share knowledge, and improve access to high-quality support for women navigating the challenges and opportunities of becoming a parent.

Many of the women we support experience challenges that cross professional boundaries.

A woman attending physiotherapy after birth may also be struggling with birth trauma.

A woman seeking fertility treatment may be coping with grief, uncertainty and anxiety.

A mother seeking feeding support may be carrying difficult emotions from her birth experience.

The aim of this network is to create opportunities for professionals to:

  • Learn from one another

  • Share expertise and resources

  • Build meaningful professional relationships

  • Improve referral pathways where appropriate

  • Develop a more integrated understanding of women's experiences

  • Strengthen support for mothers, babies and families
