
About the Course
Sleep is huge! And if you have ever been deprived of it you will know that it can affect you emotionally, mentally and physically. Your appetite may change, your immune system could weaken, your ability to make decisions or remember things may lessen - the list goes on. In pregnancy, poor sleep has been linked to high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and preeclampsia amongst other things. All of the above can naturally have a knock-on effect on your baby and even labour and birth.
In motherhood, the possible problems continue or even increase as the additional child inflicted lack of sleep is now thrown into the mix.
One of the biggest problems is that there are so many things that get in the way of getting the sleep you need. Getting comfortable, nausea, restless leg syndrome not to mention babies, and other children who seem to have misplaced the “how to sleep” memo! This list also seems to go on and on.
So how can therapy help? The mind and body is a partnership. One that, most of the time, we are totally unaware is happening. MiM therapy blend taps into the mind part of this partnership, more specifically the bit we are not aware of, and works on that - the control centre for your body so to speak.
From here there is so much that can be done. It may not be the cure for everything, for example, therapy can’t make your baby sleep from 10 pm to 7 am every night, BUT it can make a remarkable difference to your ability to get enough good quality sleep when you can.
