The twists and turns of becoming and being a mother can affect your mental health, sometimes in ways that are familiar to you, sometimes in totally new ways.

When the emotions of motherhood are involved these experiences can be intensified but often we try and bury them. Why? One leading factor is because all of a sudden, in pregnancy or motherhood, our focus shifts from us. 

In truth, a mother needs to start with herself, whether it be in pregnancy or once your child is born. Self-care is not selfish, far from it. The changes you make NOW have the power to create the actions and life you want, and in turn that can positively impact everything and everyone around you.
